This week I’ve been shuffling things about on the inventory/start screen so that there is space for dungeon maps!

The map starts off empty but fills up automatically when you explore or when you collect the dungeon map item:

Collecting the map shows you where all the treasure is with gold dots and where the boss is with a skull icon:

Finally, the awesomeness of Metazelda, the procedural dungeon generator, is more obvious now - it can produce dungeons in specific shapes!

My plan for the coming week is to hide each dungeon’s map in a randomly-chosen room (presently it shows up right next to the entry to the dungeon), and then to neaten up the inventory screen a little.
